Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Twin Eagle provides wholesale energy and midstream services focused on creating value for our customers throughout North America. Twin Eagle was founded in 2010 by Chuck Watson and Griff Jones, two recognized leaders in the industry, and is led by a seasoned, well-respected management team, many with decades of experience in the sector. This depth of knowledge enables Twin Eagle to navigate an ever-changing industry, identify opportunities and deliver for its clients.
CHUCK WATSON, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Chuck Watson is chairman and co-founder of Twin Eagle. He was chairman of Eagle Energy Partners, which he co-founded in 2003 and sold to Lehman Brothers in 2007. In 2008, Mr. Watson engineered the purchase of Eagle Energy Partners from Lehman Brothers and sale to Électricité de France (EDF). Mr. Watson was the chairman and CEO of Houston-based Dynegy Inc., an asset based, integrated energy provider. He established NGC Corp., Dynegy’s predecessor, in 1985 and served as chairman and CEO until his departure in May 2002. Mr. Watson worked at Conoco from 1972 until his departure in 1985.
He is currently on the board of Baker Hughes, Baylor College of Medicine, and Mainstream Renewable Power. He is a senior energy advisor to GSO/Blackstone, a member of the Angeleno Group board of advisors and also serves on the advisory council for DocuSign. Mr. Watson is also chairman and CEO of Advanced Blast Protection Systems (ABPS), a company that developed new technology to greatly increase the protection tools available to those dealing with blast, fire and ballistic assaults. Mr. Watson co-founded Caldwell Watson Real Estate Group in 1996, and brought the Houston Aeros, an AHL professional hockey franchise, to Houston in 1998. Mr. Watson served as governor, trustee and chairman of the Oklahoma State University Foundation and was inducted into the OSU Alumni Hall of Fame in 1997. In 2000 he served as vice chairman of the ownership group that brought the Texans NFL franchise to Houston and in 2001 he was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame and was also named “Master Entrepreneur” by Ernst & Young.
GRIFF JONES, PRESIDENT AND CEO
Griff Jones graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1991 with a B.S in Finance. Griff has spent the entirety of his career in the energy business dedicated primarily to the development of North American physical energy marketing and infrastructure businesses. Following graduation, Griff began his career with Natural Gas Clearinghouse, the predecessor to Dynegy, Inc. From March 2003 until his departure in 2007, Griff held the position of CEO and co-founder of Eagle Energy Partners. From ’07-’08 Griff served as the Managing Director of North American Energy Commodities for Lehman Brothers. From ’09-’10 Griff served as the CEO at EDF Trading, a subsidiary of Electricite de France.
In September 2010, Griff co-founded Twin Eagle Resource Management, LLC, and serves as its President and CEO. Twin Eagle currently has more than 300 employees and is a leading energy marketing and infrastructure company.
Griff is also very active in charitable organizations and serves on the board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Griff is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at Oklahoma State University and is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Griff is married to Mindi Higbie Jones, a 1991 Elementary Education major from OSU. Griff and Mindi have two children; daughter Kennedy, age 19, who is a sophomore at OSU; and son Kale, age 17.
DANNY J. REA, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Danny J. Rea joined the Twin Eagle team in 2015 as the Chief Operating Officer. He has more than 30 years of experience within the energy industry in roles ranging from engineer to Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Twin Eagle, Danny served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the general partner of Western Gas Partners, LP. He also held the position of Vice President, Midstream of Anadarko and served as an employee of the company since 1981.
Danny is currently a member of the Gas Processors Association and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Danny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston.
JEREMY DAVIS, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER
Jeremy Davis joined Twin Eagle in 2010 and serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Natural Gas Trading. Jeremy brings over 12 years of experience in the energy services industry, focused primarily on the physical trading of natural gas. He was a founding member of Eagle Energy Partners in 2003. Prior to Eagle, he was engaged in marketing at Dynegy and Sequent Energy.
Jeremy holds a BA in Marketing and Management from Oklahoma State University.
TOM GODBOLD, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL COUNSEL
Tom has served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel and Secretary for Twin Eagle since 2012. Prior to joining Twin Eagle, Tom was a partner for 21 years at the international law firm of Fulbright and Jaworski, L.L.P. in Houston and Washington, D.C.
Tom joined Fulbright & Jaworski as an associate in 1984 after a two-year stint as a law clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.
Tom holds a J.D. from the University of Houston and a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas.
JIMMY THOMAS, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Jimmy Thomas joined Twin Eagle in 2010 with nearly 30 years of experience in all facets of energy services. Prior to joining Twin Eagle, Jimmy was Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for NiSource Gas Transmission & Storage where he was responsible for all commercial activities of the pipeline. Prior to this position he was a partner of the midstream energy company, Ceritas Energy which he co-founded in 2003. From 2000-2003, Jimmy managed his own consulting practice where he advised numerous energy executives. From 1988-2000, he held key leadership positions in the marketing business at Dynegy. He also held key positions in commercial marketing at Cabot Energy Marketing, Tenngasco and Tennessee Gas Pipeline.
Jimmy has served on the Executive Committee and the Supply and Market Committee of the Southern Gas Association, the Boards of Directors of the Natural Gas Transportation Association and the Houston Energy Association. He has also been active on the National Petroleum Council.
He is active in numerous charitable organizations in the community and serves as a deacon at his church.
Jimmy earned his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1984.
ERIC WATTS, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF POWER AND ENVIRONMENTAL
Eric joined Twin Eagle as Executive Vice President of Power and Environmental in 2011. Eric has nearly 25 years of diversified energy marketing experience. Prior to Twin Eagle, he served as Senior Vice President-Commercial Operations at Dynegy Inc. where he was responsible for its commercial functions related to its power generation assets including power/gas trading, asset management, scheduling, real-time trading, dispatch, transmission, fuel supply, emissions trading and origination.
Prior to joining Dynegy, Watts was a Gas Supply Representative at Excel Resources and at Panhandle Eastern Corp.
Watts holds a B.A. in finance and real estate from the University of Texas at Austin.
LARRY LEVERETT, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Larry Leverett joined Twin Eagle in 2010 and serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company’s energy commodities division. He is responsible for the accounting, finance, credit, risk control, and IT functions.
Larry has over 20 years of broad energy experience with an in-depth knowledge of the wholesale and retail energy markets, particularly with regard to power and natural gas. He has extensive experience related to portfolio valuation, risk quantification, financial planning, governance, and risk management strategies.
Prior to joining Twin Eagle, he served as Senior Vice President – Commercial Operations for Calpine Corporation with responsibility for managing the company’s nation-wide generation fleet. He has also held senior leadership roles with TXU Energy and El Paso Energy.
Mr. Leverett holds an MBA degree from the University of Houston and a BS degree in Business Administration from Christian Brothers College in Memphis, TN
